In 2013 I became the owner of The Bread Basket. I was born and raised in this community on a farm south of Manchester where I still live with my family. I loved cooking for my family and when they the kids left home I decided to try my hand at cooking for others. So here I am, in the kitchen once again cooking and baking and having the time of my life!
While cooking is not new to me, running a restaurant most certainly is. One thing I know for sure is that good food, good service and a friendly atmosphere make for a successful restaurant. We strive to provide the best in all of the above areas and with the wonderful coworkers I am blessed with, I feel we accomplish just that. While we work hard every day we strive to take time to get to know our customers and know many of them on a first name basis.
Keeping our customers informed is important to us. You can hear our daily specials each day on KMCH radio 94.7 FM each morning between 10:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. We also post our daily specials to Facebook and Twitter as well as any other exciting news that's happening at The Bread Basket.
We pride ourselves on having fresh salads, top quality choice meats and homemade desserts. Summertime brings garden fresh produce and we buy local whenever possible. Our "farm to table" concept is utilized as often as possible starting with the home raised black angus beef we breed and raise on our farm, slaughter at a local USDA approved locker and served to you with pride.
We like to think of our food as, the kind your mom or grandmother would have made, or maybe even better!
